Student Profile
I’ve changed as a student in many ways, especially confidently in my work, and pushing myself to do what i got to do, and to get where I want to be. Another thing that I noticed that as you get older, you cannot do anything on your own and it's not wrong to ask for a little help on the way. As a student my strength are, taking notes and listening during class. I feel that I grown a lot from listening during class because I never been the person to listen during class as much a I do now. Also with note taking, even though I feel that I was always really strong at it, I grew from it because I knew what to write while the reader/presenter was speaking. Thats one thing I feel that I grew from, and will help me in the long run.
I’ve changed since last year September as a student in one real way and that’s just because I felt that I never took my work as seriously as I do now and that I couldn't do alot of things by myself, when I've tried to plenty of times. So that’s one I thing I feel that I grown from as a student since last year and even as a 11th grader today. Also that high schools no joke and that you need to take everything seriously, literally everything. Its not how it is on t.v. if you leave something for last minute its going to hurt you in the long run. However I found myself in a little pickle this whole real, since I got a job everything became harder. Even though I left things into last minute, I was able to complete work, projects, and anything I could to get at least a passing grade. I'm not going to lie junior year was a struggle for me, but it's a struggle I learned from.
I learned a lot this year as a senior, although I felt like I was just trying to get by this year considering the fact that it was my last year. This year I learned a lot in terms of being patient. I always wanted things done my way at my time. However I learned how to actually take my time, and do things right. I took the time to get to know myself as a student this year, because since I'm going away for college, I need to start doing a lot of things on my own. Things like making myself breakfast and doing my own laundry and waking up early (even though that didn't work as much.) However as a student I wanted to learn these skills on my own because it will prepare me for things in the future. I learned that I liked certain classes I didn't think I was going to like, and I build as a student in ways I can use outside of school. I will be attending SUNY Broome in the fall for Media and Communications. I noticed that I wanted to do that when I was with my program at a news station and I noticed that I want to some day have my own show. Involving fashion, make up and artists.
