 The reason why I choose this piece was because I felt that I did I really good job, considering that I'm a horrible drawer. I felt that this shows that I can do what I can do if i put my mind my mind to it and actually pay attention to what I'm doing. What we had done during the beginning of this project was that we had to draw our hands without looking at our hand, just basically looking at your hand and drawing your hand with your eyes that your hand will transfer onto the paper with the pencil in your hand. We actually did a whole lot of these, but I felt that I did I really good job on this one, only because of the way that it looks. Also the colors are primary colors.



End the Year Reflection

    Hello, My name is Nydia Zapata and some of my my best work I’ve done so far throughout my 9th grade were 3 things, and those 3 things were my science essay which was a love letter and my other essay from humanities i believe , and my IWB workbook. Even though I only picked these, I have many others, I just feel that I did great in these. Although high school was rough as a freshman, i overcame most.

    One of the pieces I picked was my short story in writing, the reason why i picked this was because i felt that this was one of the best pieces I've ever done in writing. Another piece was the love letter from the sperm and egg points of views. I did so well on that essay , that i was so proud of myself. Knowing that I'm not doing so well in science, i thought i did a great job and it shows a lot of my hard work and i was again, very proud. Another one is my IWB work, and that’s when i sketched my hand. I was so amazed honestly, just because i know i cant draw, and me drawing of my hand made me realize that i can do something if i took my time and all that. And i was happy.

    These pieces in my portfolio reveal who i am as a learner because, it shows how much i grow from day one, till now. And I'm proud of that because i would've thought i would never get to the point that am at now.  So you can say that I'm very amazed and proud.

    Something i would love to work on next year is science. I want to focus on science because i didn't do so go my first year as a 9th grader, and i hated every minute of it. I mean i knew i could've done better, but i slacked a lot and didn't really do what i really had to do which backfired at the end. But now I'm on track and I'm doing whatever it takes to get where i want to get.
